Meet Sodalis
Sodalis Network was founded by Daan and Kate, who met while working for a pan-European grassroots movement. During our time there, we saw firsthand how extraordinary mission-driven teams can be - and how they can suffer from internal disorganisation and a loss of strategic focus. We created Sodalis to offer a pragmatic, human-centered alternative to high-volume corporate consulting, acting as a trusted companion to help purpose-led groups structure themselves for long-term success.
Motivated by a genuine belief in the power of the third sector, Kate brings a mix of big-picture strategy and down-to-earth experience to her work.
With an MSc in International Development, her background ranges from frontline fieldwork in Tanzania to advocacy for women’s rights and sexual health. She also knows how to handle complex operations, having managed a 40-strong team of volunteers for a political party and guided an educational non-profit through UK regulatory accreditation. She’s also an author.
Because she’s been in the non-profit trenches, Kate truly understands both the deep passion it takes to run an NGO and the daily operational headaches that come with it.
Meet Kate
Driven by a fondness for turning complicated problems into practical solutions, Daan brings together operational consulting, rigorous research and mission-driven leadership.
With an academic background in business administration, political economy, and philosophy, he’s worked across consulting, financial services, government and European politics. His experience ranges from improving operations and quality assurance in the financial sector to researching sustainable development programmes and coordinating international teams.
Having worked in commercial, governmental and volunteer-led environments, Daan understands the challenge of building effective structures without losing sight of the people and purpose behind them.
